This Compliance Notice applies to all airbags, airbag modules, emblem radars and related safety components sold by PartZora (partzora.us). It is to be read together with our Terms of Service, Warranty & Returns, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.
Nature of the Parts We Sell
- All airbags sold by PartZora are used, genuine OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts removed from donor vehicles.
- Our airbags are undeployed and have never been repacked, rebuilt or modified.
- Parts are sold “AS-IS.” They have not been tested or certified by PartZora to meet any specific safety standard.
- Unless stated otherwise in the listing, we do not have the VIN of the vehicle a part originated from.
Buyer Responsibility for Legal Compliance
- Laws and regulations governing the sale, purchase, installation and use of used or recycled airbags and supplemental restraint system (SRS) components vary by country, state and province.
- It is the buyer’s sole responsibility to confirm that purchasing, installing and using the part is permitted where the part will be installed and the vehicle will be operated.
- Some jurisdictions may require that airbags be installed by a licensed or certified repair professional, or that specific disclosures be made to vehicle owners. The buyer is responsible for meeting any such requirements.
- PartZora ships only within the United States and Canada and does not export airbags or SRS components internationally.
Safety and Installation
- Airbags contain pyrotechnic (explosive) inflators. Improper handling, storage or installation can cause serious injury or death.
- Professional installation by a qualified technician is strongly recommended. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s service procedures, including disconnecting the battery before working on SRS components.
- Verify that the OEM part number matches your vehicle before installation. Year, make and model information is provided as a general reference only.
- Some vehicles may require additional modules, sensors or reprogramming for the SRS system to function correctly.
- Never install an airbag that shows signs of damage, moisture, tampering or prior deployment.
Recalls
Before installing any airbag, check whether the part or your vehicle is subject to an open safety recall. In the United States you can check recalls at nhtsa.gov/recalls; in Canada, visit the Transport Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Recalls Database. Do not install a part that is subject to an unremedied recall.
Shipping of Hazardous Materials
Airbag inflators are classified as hazardous materials for transport. PartZora packages and ships airbags in accordance with applicable carrier requirements. Shipping is limited to the regions described in our Shipping Policy.
Limitation of Liability
By purchasing from PartZora, you acknowledge and assume all risks, damages and injuries that may result from the handling, installation and use of these parts. PartZora is not liable for installation errors, labor expenses or any other associated costs, as described in our Terms of Service.
